The Bicentennial will be celebrated all year long, from the three marquee Mississippi Bicentennial Celebrations to events large and small in communities all around the state. As Mississippians come together around a shared history, keep up with celebrations from the Gulf Coast to the River, and through the Pines, Delta and Hills regions here.

Bicentennial Picnic from 11am-2pm

This half day event will be held at Northside Park (Hwy 15 North, Philadelphia, MS) and is sure to be fun for the entire family! Celebrating the History, fashion, music, food and fun of the Red Clay Hills region. Music performances featuring Southbound, Neshoba Musicians’ Guild, and the Fair City Chorale. Food will be provided by “The Junction” of Philadelphia. This event is free and open to the public.
